Designed in France, produced in Peru
Anonym Apparel was born twenty years ago, during a fabulous trip to Peru.
The sublime colors, the joie de vivre of a country rich in cultures, the know-how and the unique quality of textiles, will seduce François Lauga, founder of Anonym Apparel.
Anonym is the result of nice meets, of a sibling relationship that it is important to us to maintain with the same local tailoring workshops for all these years.
This close relationship allows us to perpetuate what constitutes our main asset: Peruvian historical and artisanal knowledge.
Strengthened by our virtuous production scale set up over the years, we have been able to create an ecosystem of sustainable and responsible workshops which grows every day with us.
Based in the south-west, on the Landes coast, our team works on upcoming collections and signs the pieces and colors that will make you happy.
Its are thought out upstream according to the trend books developed by international style offices, in particular for color ranges.
The models are imagined and drawn in contact with professionals from multi-brand stores who live fashion and advise you every day.
Our stylists and François make sure to offer timeless, truly multi-generational and inclusive collections.
The cotton
We work on pima cotton with Michèle since 2010. Former architect, she has been passionate about this material for about ten years. More than just a collaborator, she has become a friend.
Go-getter and reckless, endowed with a strong artistic sense, she collaborates with us on the collections of tomorrow. Michèle makes the link with workshops in Lima which have more than 50 years of know-how, she is our master builder.
The cotton comes from the northeast of Peru, around Piura.
The work remains artisanal, everything is cut and assembled by hand.
The mesh
Alpaca fiber, from the Peruvian Altiplano, is worked in several small workshops in Lima. Like Maritza, whose family workshop, which belonged to her father, has existed for thirty years.
At the beginning, only three people worked there, today, its teams have expanded and a myriad of satellite workshops collaborate in the project, bringing to life a whole local economic and artisanal fabric.
We have been working since 2005 with his workshop.
We are attached to his know-how, his honesty and his flexibility.
